Use to order quite a bit from here and the food was always really nice. By far my favourite chips and cod. Recently not to sure what’s changed but ordered last week and the chips were cooked in old oil, thought maybe it was a one off so ordered again but this time 90% of the chips were cooked in old oil and the cod was just quite dry. Ordered a large cod and looked like it was a small. It’s a shame but think I’ll be looking for another chippy and maybe try one last time in a few months. The employees that deliver are very well mannered and friendly.

Ordered a family meal from here last night. The order was placed at 7:20pm and was told that it would be 40 minutes, 8pm. When it still hadn't arrived at 8:30pm we called (from a different mobile, so they had no idea who we were) we were told that our order is next and it will be with us very shortly. Called them again at 8:55pm to tell them to cancel the order, and refund our money and was told that we had called the wrong number, that they were the Felbridge branch, and that we had to call the E.G. branch...... even though we pressed redial! I don’t often write reviews on local business but my disappointment in tonight’s meal has led me here. Ordered large chips, chicken burger and a few other items in the shop tonight. Staff are pleasant enough and the wait time was forgivable considering it was a busy Friday evening. However you would think that a busy chip shop is only so popular because of the quality of the food…. Or is it lack of real competition as to why customers return regularly for this slop?
