This is an amazing place in Edinburgh (new Town). Be prepared that you will do a big queue, but definitely worth it! The products are amazing, with a lot of different flavors; the quality is also amazing, very appreciated. I recommend the pan au chocolate because is really good! Very nice place!

We visited Lannan this morning and arrived around 9:12 am already with a long queue. After waiting about 30 minutes to order, we finally got to try a few pastries and what we had was really tasty. My wife said it lived up to the hype — flaky, fresh and clearly made with care. That said, be prepared for a wait if you visit around opening time, definetely a recommendation of you are in Edinburgh.

Lovely bakery with delicious pastry, worth the wait! I decided to visit on a Friday morning, but was worried about the wait so I showed up before they opened. I was there around 8:30am and was the 4th person in like, by 9:00am there were roughly 40 people waiting for them to open. Once they opened, they were efficient and the queue moved quickly. I opted for a selection of pastries to try and, all were delicious. The cardamom bun was may favorite traditional pastry, but the custard slice was the real star of the show. Highly recommend!

Lannan is known as the best bakery in Edinburgh and a must visit. Expecting to be in a long queue and I arrived at 8.30am for their 9am opening and I was the first in line. By the time it nears 9am, there was already a long queue. It’s comfortable to get your breads and pastries as they only allow 8 pax to enter each time. The smell of the freshly baked goods is so enticing. I had to control myself from getting too many pastries. I would recommend the savory items. The cardamom Kouign amann is delicious. The prosciutto, fontina cheese and gordal olive is a must must eat. Pain au chocolate must
