The guy at the counter was very friendly and as we were new to the Cask Aels, he gave some samples to try so that we could select that appeals to us. The Cask Aels were really smooth, tasty and had a character. Pricing is very reasonable. Small seating capacity so should have some patience to get a seat. Whole atmosphere was great had some great conversations with locals. Recommended ! 🍻

My partner and I stopped by one afternoon (not by chance!) and treated ourselves to a few whiskies. The staff were wonderful—so warm and friendly—taking the time to guide our choices and sharing the stories behind every dram we tasted. What can I say? Thank you guys for the convivial atmosphere! You and your pub truly touched our hearts. We look forward to seeing you again on our next trip to your wonderful Edinburgh!
