Our ramblers group diverted from our Capital Ring walk from Falconwood to dine at the Eltham GPO on a Monday lunchtime. And what a great choice it was for lunch. There is a good selection of lagers and 3 beers on tap. A wide selection of food was available, all of which was delicious. Service was prompt and the bar staff very courteous. And to top it all off food on Mondays is half price! The only criticism was that they had problems with the heating which meant the only source of heat was the open fire at the centre of the pub. The Eltham GPO is a great venue that contains a mix of new and restored features. A roaring fire was lit during the visit, which was very atmospheric. The ambience was great because of the mix of people who were enjoying lunch and having a drink. 🍷 The roasts were delicious and included a great selection of vegetables. The red cabbage was amazing, and the bed of greens and leeks was delectable. The host was friendly and brought extra gravy to the table. I cannot wait to come back. 🥘 5/5 stars

Eltham GPO is a fantastic place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are very friendly, and it is also very dog friendly, which makes it even more enjoyable. They serve one of the best Sunday roasts in the area, and there is a good selection of drinks to go with it. The interiors are stylish and comfortable, making it a place where you want to spend time. It is also a great option for birthdays or larger group gatherings.

Very lovely experience coming here, whilst we've been before, we haven't been since they've refurbished the place, it looks gorgeous inside and out. The staff are polite and helpful, the toilets are clean and well maintained, their seating is catered to everyone either wanted to sit inside, out the front or in the courtyard. Their food and drinks were delicious. I would highly recommend the steak and ale pie, which comes with mash, greens and gravy. One person in particular Diana (I hope I've spelt this right) a credit to the team, she was so helpful, and attentive to the moment we walked in t
