Jon★★★★★This castle is an amazing place - mainly for the incredible view at the top. Photos cannot capture that 360 degree view - nir the distance. Apparently, on a clear day you can see as far as Rochester Airport (South) and Wembley Stadium, Essex hills, Windsor Castle, Crystal Palace, Croydon - breath-taking views. Inside the castle is a room with a timeline history and volunteers who are very knowledgable about the history. There is also a lovely tea room and charming walks through woodland. Highly recommend!!
Mike Dalley★★★★★This cute folly offers amazing views over London in all direction, and can be visited while exploring Eltham Common, Oxleas Wood, and the surrounding areas. There is a café on the ground floor with a nice selection of snacks and hot and cold drinks, looked after by a friendly team. Theres plenty of seating outside too. A lovely find and an oasis of calm in an otherwise busy and built up area of the city.
Edward★★★★★Cool hidden gem. Great spot to stop and grab a coffee and bite to eat. Loved the markets that were open on Sunday. The area surrounding the castle is great for walking the dog. Have yet to go up the castle itself but seeing other reviews, it appears to have great views at the top.
Alec Boreham★★★★★If you are looking for an extraordinary view of pretty much... The whole of London + a view into the south east and Kent, then this is the place, for £5 you can understand how London is layed out in it's cente and also on the Green Belt. There is a small café on the ground floor to recharge, and on a Sunday you can find an artisan Farmers Market... It's well worth it... Forget about the Shard or London eye
