I stayed at the Bear whilst working away from home. The staff, especially those on my first night, were super friendly which made my first hotel stay on my own less daunting and they really put me at ease. I used the bar a couple of evenings, which had a lovely cosy feel. Good food and drinks selection however a couple of meals I wanted were unavailable, which is to be expected. The third option I went for was tasty, a salad but the lettuce was definitely past its best - a minor criticism. The food did come quickly. We chose to hold a business launch event at The Bear, with around 50 businesses attending, and everything from the initial planning through to the close of the event was executed perfectly. The team listened carefully to our requirements and had everything prepared exactly as requested. Surprisingly nice and comfy hotel although parking on site is limited. Entrance through pub, whilst reception and rooms up steep small staircase (not for big suitcases). Rooms comfy and well equipped with a old-fashion chic style. Rooms at front over main uunction suffer road noise until late-ish but quiet thereafter Friendly service in bar and restaurant although good other choices can be find in the town.

Such a lovely place to stay! Perfectly located in Esher, a short taxi ride from the station, centrally located on the high street with access to all the local amenities within walking distance. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming. The room I stayed in was beautiful - it had the old building, rustic look but with a modern feel. Clean, tidy and super comfy bed! Oh and the toiletries smell divine! So much nicer and luxurious than the price point would suggest. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay again
