Disappointing recent visit. We booked a table in advance but were initially seated right at the back corner of the restaurant where the tables were crammed so tightly together that it was difficult to walk through. It felt very uncomfortable, crowded, and the area was extremely noisy with disruptive guests nearby. It was also difficult to get the staff’s attention. Wasn't sure at first after the way we were sat down and given a "all you can eat" menu without so much of a choice. Excuse me but we're not dining out on a Sun Voucher. Asked for the A La Carte menu which was a laminated card with very little choice. Half of what we wanted was on the AYCE menu so had to go with that. Service was a little brusque but ok. Could do with more than 2 lumps of ice in the drinks as it quickly melted. The food overall was excellent. tasty, well seasoned and well balanced. Rice was light and fluffy. I wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant! Every dish looks utterly tempting, with vibrant colours and perfectly balanced pairings. The flavours are truly exceptional, each dish bursting with unique character. The staff's service is outstanding – ever attentive, quick to respond, and making you feel thoroughly at ease. It’s not the best Chinese I’ve been to in recent months but it’s good and seems to be one of the best/most central in Windsor based on Google reviews. My partner was very happy with his smoked chicken to start and the crispy seaweed was nice- if perhaps not as freshly cooked. The mapo tofu was surprisingly tasty (despite no crunchy coating on the tofu, making it more of a silken texture) and my partner enjoyed his schezwan chicken.
