I had a lovely experience at Sunny Hill Cafe! The atmosphere was warm, rustic, and peaceful—being set in a park really makes it feel like a hidden gem. I tried shakshuka for the first time—while it might not fully be to my taste, I appreciated the quality and care in how it was made. Next time, I’ll probably go for the schnitzel! The highlight for me was the carrot cake—freshly baked and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. A charming spot I’d happily return to!

I'm giving this place a 1 star whereas in the past in would have given it A 5 STAR. This is because I'm really upset at how it has changed. Before when we ordered a salad to sit outside, the salads were fantastic and huge... filling a plate. I went with my friend recently and we saw the prices had jumped quite a bit. £16.50 for a salad! But didn't think much of it...we wanted to share a salad anyway. But imagine our shock when the salad came in a tiny little cardboard container- the same size as the ones you get at waitrose with a nice salad for £5! And we were expected to eat out of tiny pape
