Just had a lovely lunch, my wife and I for my 80th birthday. The liver was cooked exactly as I like it--pink. My wife enjoyed her fish and chips. It is only the 2nd time we have visited the pub. But I can heartily recommend it.

We stayed at the Bullshead for several days in May. Such a lovely place with such lovely owners. Make sure you have dinner there, and if you get a chance, have the Sunday roast. You need a reservation for the roast, but it was amazing. Would come back

Visited on our way back from the Roman palace. Nice atmosphere and the young man who was serving us was lovely and we both enjoyed our meals at the time, but unfortunately the gnocchi arrabbiata made one of us very sick - on Valentine’s Day no less, I wonder how many more had the same experience. Edit: what a funny owner response to a real experience, and rather polite review after getting food poisoning.

We had a roast meal here with our twin toddlers. It was such a delicious roast enjoyed by all of us and service was amazing. Such a generous portion of meat served, the gravy, potatoes and veg was delicious and the Yorkshire puddings were really lovely. We will be back!
