My high hopes for this restaurant next to the Premier inn were dashed very quickly. We had booked a table for 2 for 1830 & the restaurant was fairly empty. Why the waiter sat us on a table for 4 next to a birthday party group of 12 was beyond me!!!! There were tables available by the window. Waiter was flustered & made us feel uncomfortable as we asked what was available from the meal deal. He reeled off a list & went to get our drinks. Had the Sunday carvery, lovely roast beef and turkey. Excellent crackling, good choice of veg, the roast parsnips were the best! Lucy was our server, she was amazing, professional, friendly and really helpful, nothing was too much trouble, we did keep her very busy! Had the cinnamon bun sundae, it was amazing! Very good value for money and we weren't rushed out of the restaurant, which was a bonus. Thanks again to Lucy and the other staff.

I visited today with my 3 young nephews, the food and experience was great, they also played in the children’s play area. We were served by Kim, who was lovely and took extra care with the children’s order, because we made some changes to the order due to special needs. Kim made it a lovely afternoon
