Place small but quaint inside. There on Saturday 4.1.25. food ok but the Pappardella not up to much. The glazed beef the meat did taste nice but the sauce ruined it so much so we called for the bill very quickly. I was feeling awful so did not check the bill the waiter asked me to check but my fault I desperately wanted home. I offered a tip and he said it's ok you have already paid. I normative 10% we'll always do. However when I got home they had taken £7.13, 12.5%tip and £1 for their chosen charity. I am outraged at this. I have my own charities I support and I don't give 12.5%. St

Absolutely amazing experience at Celentano's. My niece recommended the restaurant to us and it'd been on our list to visit for ages. When we heard the team was moving venues we booked so that we could experience the restaurant in its original location. What a stunning building, ambience was just perfect. As for the food, just wonderful. We sampled the lasagne fritti - little balls of unctuous deliciousness, and some lovely sourdough and fabulous rich olive oil. We shared the dexter beef papardelle. We were here on Friday, a party of 7. I have a nut allergy and was brought 2 dishes with walnuts and hazelnuts. The hazelnut dish was removed as could easily see them, and I ate the walnut dish and had an allergic reaction where I had to take antihistamines. Wait staff did not seem to care nor did the kitchen. Also, my friend that is celiac was brought a sauce that had gluten and they had to run and tell her not to eat it. Don’t go here if you have allergies.

Great location, very atmospheric. Nice for a romantic dinner, plenty of separation between tables. Service was prompt and attentive. Food though, ugh. Unfortunately hampered by the chef who has some kind of fixation with putting too much salt in every dish. Wind that back a bit and this could be 3 stars. Relatively fair priced so that was something. Sorry. Oops just took another star off for the ‘Opt Svc Ch’ already on the bill. Running a restaurant in this economy is difficult, maybe they shouldn’t.
