This is a very cozy bar. We were warmly greeted and served with a smile. Only came in for a drink, but stayed for food. I had chicken burger with fries, salad and coleslaw which was very tasty. My husband had Currywurst and fries, which he loved. Everything was fresh, even the salad was great. The prices are excellent as well. £9.80 for 2 Cruzcampo and our meals were £11.95 each. The place had a good atmosphere with the music in the background, not screaming loud. We will definitely be back soon. Loved it there.

First time in this lovely bar. A Thursday afternoon so perfect level of biz for a late lunch and a drink. Really helpful bar staff and a great playlist. The best lo/no alcohol choice of drinks I’ve seen in town. The food order of a burger and a currywurst came quickly and was delicious! The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked and served with chips and a fab little pot of coleslaw. The currywurst was just like a Berlin cafe, a generous portion of two sausages served with salad and a mountain of fries. A most excellent experience all round!

I was attending the Ocean Sciences Meeting 2026 last week and we had a post-meeting social event at The Machair Bar which turned into a little bit of an ocean scientist take-over of this charming, neighborhood pub in Glasgow. The staff and management were excellent! They were flexible, accommodating, and friendly ambassadors to the great city of Glasgow! Thanks for the pints fueling our oceanographic discussions! If I am every back in Glasgow, I will definitely stop by for a *quieter* pint in this wonderful establishment.

We met here before the theatre and were pleasantly surprised with the cool design and use of space, lots of seating, inside and out, cool chunky wood designs, lots of whisky, spirits and beer taps. The food menu looked good, for mains and snacks but we were just having a drink this time. Clean, accessible toilets, friendly staff, WiFi and music. Great place, we'll definitely be back 👍
