Plenty of plants and natural light, which makes it a nice place to sit and relax. The food is mainly brunch-style dishes and well prepared. Staff were friendly, and there’s a good range of beers and coffee. A good spot to stop in if you’re wandering around the West End of Glasgow, just off Byres Road in Ashton Lane.

Just wanted to say what a fabulous venue the Gardner is, very clean, presented well and very well managed. Drinks and food came out timely, great selection and very accommodating for our party. The visit was during the Christmas holiday and may have contributed to the quietness of the restaurant. The food was ok but I found the onion rings a little greasy for my taste. The smashed burger was huge and my companion could only eat half. They made a chicken Caesar salad which wasn’t on the menu inside but had been shown on the menu outside. The salad was well received but beware it comes with actual anchovies. I had the chicken burger which was nice but again huge.

From city centre we took the subway to visit Glasgow University- very impressive and definitely you should visit if you’re in Glasgow- and while we were in that neighbourhood, we took a break at the Gardener for some bites and drink. Great atmosphere, staff members are very friendly and kind! We enjoyed the atmosphere!!!
