In traditional Chinese imperial cuisine, there's a dish called sweet and sour carp, characterized by frying the fish head-up and tail-up, requiring precise control of oil temperature and batter quantity. Around the corner from our hotel, this was our breakfast venue and also a quick drink in the evening. All good, as you would expect, reasonably priced but without flair. Staff lovely and had a nice vibe.

Found this gem walking down Sauchiehall St in Glasgow today. Looked nice, new and open spaced. Decided to stop for dinner, and what a treat! They have a “Club” daily menu special, and today was 3 small plates for £12. Pizzas were thin crust and excellent. If I had a menu, I would add it. Prices are beyond inexpensive for both drinks and food. We are going back tomorrow to try their breakfast! VERY worth a visit or two.
