Tonight was a bad night . I think the cook / chef has changed . Scotch eggs had a crust that was like armour . The fish from fish and chip meal was soggy and under cooked , had lumps in it . The seafood dish. Medallions of sea trout and halibut was lukewarm warm . With 3 pieces of trout and 1 inch of halibut. Not appealing at all .when asked how his food was I said ok to which I had no follow up . Wong be coming back for a while either . Need to sort the door out Tom as freezing when people leave open . Such a shame

Popped in for a late lunch - 2.15pm as we were in the area. Food was a big disappointment. Had to wait nearly half an hour for our meals. Table next to us had an equally long wait. The salmon fish cake I ordered was very dry and I believe made with tinned salmon which does not justify the price at all. Breadcrumb coating was so hard I could barely cut through it with my knife. The hubby’s fish finger sandwich was ok but nothing to rave about. The restaurant did give us complimentary chips for the long wait at which point I should’ve addressed the issue about the fish cake, but didn’t bother as

Went out for a birthday meal with the family. Food was alright, not the best. A lot of mistakes with each course. The starters took 40 minutes to come to our table. Understand there was 7 of us but the restaurant was barely busy. The mains and the desserts then both took 30 minutes. The staff were really pleasant and nice, they apologised and knocked off some of the food. This was highly appreciated. Wouldn’t be rushing back for food. Drinks were good, prices were decent. They did a really nice birthday plate but the plate was frozen so it made the sticky toffee pudding really cold.

We only called in for a drink so cannot make comment, other than there were a lot of people enjoying the scrumptious looking plates being served. Staff were professional and place very welcoming Thank you.
