Hotel du Vin Harrogate is located in the heart of town. Just a 10 minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the high street. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day out. Also quiet! Service throughout the hotel is attentive without being intrusive. The water pressure in both the shower and bath is exceptional, genuinely one of the highlights. Reception is also thoughtfully stocked with useful essentials such as sanitary products, sewing kits, and dental kits.

I treated a friend to an outing in Harrogate for afternoon tea at Hotel du vin (as pre wedding gift) and had booked it through ‘Yorkshire Food Guide’ and got a small discount on the usual price. On arrival the restaurant staff said straight away “are you here on the Wowcher deal “ which was a bit of a surprise 🤣…and also made it feel really cheap! We booked it on a weekday and we were the only ones in the restaurant - okay but lacking any atmosphere. For a Hotel such a this, with seemingly high standards, we were massively surprised and somewhat disappointed at the lack lustre service. There were no staff in the Bar or Bistro to welcome us in fact we had to ask at Reception if lunch was indeed being served … we arrived at 2pm. Being told yes, we waited by the Bistro entrance doors …. And eventually we were seen and were showed to a table … we should have walked out really as it took an age for anyone to arrive with a menu. Just to point out that we were the only guests in at that time …. So not a busy lunchtime service at all. Customer

Very pleasant hotel on the south side of Harrogate Town centre, overlooking the Stray. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathroom had a free standing bath (in the window) and a separate large rainfall shower that actually works and provides plenty of water. An additional hand-held would have been welcome, though. The rooms don't have air on and although this is England, the addition would sometimes be useful. The bar/lounge area is comfortable and the patio seating just outside is a great place for sipping a cocktail. The staff are consistently pleasant and helpful.
