Just been for a family meal. 10 adults and 2 children, service was fantastic. The restaurant was really beautifully decorated. The drinks selection was the best I've ever seen in a restaurant. But the best thing was the food. Absolutely gorgeous, everything was perfect. Definitely will be going back. Thank you Dilshad.

Got a table immediately, we walked in, didnt book, Saturday night around 9.30pm, wasn't busy but then began to fill up around 10pm. Waited a little while for poppadoms to arrive, and we think they got our main order wrong, but when challenged they said it was correct. The rice was lovely, naan a little stodgy and chicken very dry. Shame. Prices reasonable.

I was a regular at the Dilshad about 30 years ago when I lived in Hartlepool. So last week when I was in town for an old school reunion, I was pleased to see it was still going. It's near the railway station and opens at 4:30pm, so I decided to have an early dinner there before my train left. A friend had already told me it's still the best Indian restaurant in town, so I had high expectations. I was not disappointed. We arrived here after visiting the Royal Navy museum nearby and were blown away by the flavours of the food here. We started off with poppadoms and a mixed grill starter which the kids enjoyed. The mixed grill starter included onion bhaji, lamb chops, chicken tikka, kebabs and masala fish. All of them were great and went down well with the kids. For our mains, the Naan and rice was fresh, the tandoori chicken was cooked in a proper tandoori oven, the chicken korai curry was flavourful and the chicken was cooked to perfection for both dishes. Highly recommend the food here. Great service thr
