Unfortunately our meal was not great here and really expensive for the quality. 3 steaks all cooked differently despite requesting medium rare. We paid about £175, 1 starter, 3 steaks, 1 of which was the promo wagyu and a couple of drinks. Firstly, the food took ages to arrive. It took about 40 mins for the starter to come out and the gap between the starter arriving and the mains arriving was also about 20 mins. The starter was good, especially the pork and scallops. What an amazing evening, the food was very good, the service exceptional. Caron made us feel welcome, attentive and always available if and when needed. Steak is always good at M&C, this was a special night and we got the VIP treatment, which I think we would have got whether celebrating a birthday or not. I've eaten at Miller and Carter quite often with family and friends over the years. Sadly, while the service has remained consistently excellent, the food has been in decline recently to the point one can't help but notice. In the past the steak was so high quality you barely needed a knife and portions were respectably generous. This has given way to imitation fine dining, with tiny things placed very prettily on the plate but tough meat and lower quality all round. I have found this to be the case on more than one occasion. Incredible meal and Incredible service. Connor our server was particularly helpful and accommodating. He also guided us on our food choices which were spot on. Nothing was too much trouble. Even when we asked to move tables. Will definitely come back again.
