A special mention to Maddy....you are an asset to that Hotel. Ide had a bad day and made a mistake with my bookng on booking.com, i phoned a bit stressed and Maddy sorted it quickly. Very calm, understanding. I have staff and my own business and empathy and patience is rare when dealing with the public. The hotel is very nice, with comfortable rooms. It has a long rambling layout and a long history. Both dinner and breakfast menus are good, and the service is good. The noise from local pubs at night is annoying and raucous, and the seagulls make a lot of noise singing the songs of their people from first light. But that is out of the hotel's control. Using earplugs is recommended. On the whole a good place to stay.

The rooms were comfortable enough, but they were very warm on the south facing side (during May heat wave 2026). The building itself is absolutely beautiful, decor was very well suited and very clean. Location to local bars and restaurants was convenient with both front and rear access of the hotel.

We needed a venue for a small wedding but most of all we needed flexibility, understanding and all on short notice. All the staff were amazing and went out of their way to accommodate us. The private dining experience was an excellent room and dressed perfectly for a wedding. The food was brilliant. Another local 'top hotel' was only able to offer sandwiches. The menu here was brilliant and no restrictions despite it being a Monday. The location is just perfect for Hereford and they have really convenient parking at the back at reasonable day rate. I can't fault location, food or rooms. I will
