Some go to Kenwood House for the exceptional Rembrandt and the ultra-rare Vermeer. Some go for the lush, sprawling grounds. But some know about the ice cream, reason enough for a visit: Northern Bloc flavors cobranded with English Heritage. I went with sticky toffee pudding and clotted cream with honeycomb, but it was a tough choice. Too many delights. Too many delicacies. If only one could live here, like the Earls of Mansfield in the old days.

I have been here a few times and it’s always the same, all the cakes are uncovered allowing flies to go on them all day long. It’s disgusting. Flies carry a lot of germs as they touch so many things including rubbish and poo and when food is left like that all day how many flies have been on there by the time we want to get a piece of cake! I always get a drink and crisps but even getting a drink takes ages as staff are just ridiculously slow and a few times they have got my order wrong. There’s hardly any selection of food either. Most of the time I just bring food with me instead which is

Incredible location but not great food choice for kids. A pre packed Tuna sandwich was £5.95. They could do so much more to make it welcoming to young families.
