I hired the large room of the Three Compasses for my 40th birthday party and I had a great time! The space is very airy and flexible to offer a buffet area, seating space and a dance floor. I was able to bring my own decorations, dj and cake. Adrian, who manages the food/kitchen, was super helpful and provided great guidance on the menu and quantity. The communication with the bar staff was a bit challenging in the weeks leading up to the event mainly due to management changes. Some stuff we had agreed orally suddenly became a challenge. Did book, just in case as not from the area. 3 of us. 1 vegan spice bag, 1 chicken spice bag & Roast beef. Very enjoyed food with a drink along with friendly staff. Played Smart Darts as weather not good to pass the time. Thank you

It truly saddens me to write this review because this has long been our favourite since moving to Hornsey. Unfortunately, the consistency just hasn't been there lately. Last Saturday, the venue closed much earlier than advertised, and the exact same thing happened again this Friday. To make matters worse, the music was turned down, which really killed the atmosphere and made it clear staff wanted us out. I really hope this is just a temporary hiccup, as I’d love to keep coming back, but it’s becoming hard to rely on them for a full night out.

We recently moved to the area and after just a few visits, The Three Compasses has become our favourite local spot. The staff and manager are always friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you walk in. Great food, especially the small plates, a fantastic selection of drinks, live music, a pool table, big TVs, and a lovely side garden to relax in.
