My mum took me here for afternoon tea last week for my birthday. The staff went out of their way to make it special for us both and the food was delicious, so much we had to take our leftovers home for our family to enjoy. Great selection of tea and coffee which was perfect to. Beautiful listed building full of history. Only criticism was it was a little on the quiet side, a little background music would be welcome. It was clean and the service was quick and efficient. Mum and my husband even went back the next day for lunch it was so good. Thank you.

I was really looking forward to visiting here after reading good reviews. The location is lovely and we sat in the court yard. Unfortunately I was very underwhelmed. The service wasn't great, we asked for a caramel latte and a Spanish coffee. We received the caramel latte and an iced coffee with honey at the bottom? Not sure what this was. Being lunch time I expected there to be a lack of tables but there was just 2 tables in use. We sat at a table which hadn't been cleared from the previous customer. After some time I had to ask a member of staff to clear the table. When ordering we were advised there was a 15 minute wait which we didn't mind too much this turned out to be over half an hour during which time they stopped serving both food and drink. Always love a good cream tea at this place, with a wide collection of tea to choose from to go well with your style of cream tea. They go the extra mile and warm your fruit/cheese scone for you. Well recommended for a light lunch or a sweet treat cream tea. There's seating near the church for an extra unique atmosphere that is out of this world, escape the normal Ipswich scene.
