All of the staff were kind & friendly! I especially liked chatting with Chris who is in charge of marketing 😁 When I placed my order, the café seemed a bit busy but wasn't overly crowded, so I was a bit surprised by a 20-minute wait for my mango matcha. It would have been incredibly helpful if the staff had given me a quick heads-up about the delay or the queue ahead of me, especially since I was there to attend a special event being hosted downstairs, so i missed out quite a bit. I tried the iced brown sugar matcha coffee latte, the matcha Basque cheesecake, and the Earl Grey Basque cheesecake. The drink was nice overall, although the coffee flavour was slightly stronger and covered some of the matcha taste. Both Basque cheesecakes were excellent, with rich and authentic matcha and Earl Grey flavours. The texture was creamy and smooth, which paired really well with tea. They also have an outdoor seating area, making it a lovely place to enjoy afternoon tea and catch up with friends.

Matcha Mochi Cafe is such a cute spot — totally different from the big matcha chains in London. The matcha quality is excellent, and the atmosphere has a lovely community feel. I especially enjoyed their workshops! As an international student, Easter can feel a bit lonely, but the Bunny Workshop was really comforting and relaxing. Highly recommend visiting if you love matcha and creative activities.

Really lovely placed — good vibes and the interior was nice as well. We liked the matcha because you can actually taste the matcha and it’s wasnt too sweet or watery. The cake was nice and light, and the cookie was dense but again, not too sweet which we appreciated. Would come again!
