We have dined here a couple of times over the years, this time was to celebrate a birthday mid week. Restaurant was quiet but this is how we like things, the place is spotless and very stylish. Lady who served us was lovely, knowledgable and knew when to give us time to browse the menu. We visited to go a la carte, but the fixed price offer was so varied and such good value we chose from that instead. Bottle of decent red to start whilst we decided, and the food was spot on, rump steaks cooked to perfection. Bravo chef. The perfect evening - well worth travelling to visit.

Visited last night for the set menu special 3 courses for £25 including a drink. This was great value and the quality of food was still excellent. I had the Pork and Apple main and my partner had the steak. We will definitely be visiting again. Was too excited to start eating so forgot to take any photos of my food, just my husbands steak. A lovely atmosphere and setting.

Very flavourful halibut plate and good deserts with excellent presentation. A good wine will not cost an arm and a leg, and the service is excellent. Previous review... Frites were floppy, but mussels marvelous. Best onion soup ever. Sure we will rate Cognac a five on our next visit. Service top notch. An authentic French atmosphere.
