The below is a £9.50 collection order. Make of that what you will. I’m a long term customer who has ordered and collected here for the past few years. This will be my last order - it’s simply not good enough. The good reviews they had over the years were deserved, but I fear the quality has slipped and the prices have risen to no longer make this the best restaurant of Hither Green Lane. What a terrible shame.

We went to Saka Maka in Sydenham for the first time yesterday after reading the excellent reviews. It didn’t disappoint! The flavours are amazing if you enjoy taste in your food! Rich, hearty, spicy, but not heavy. We had the bhet, lamb biryani, black dahl, green slaw, and Goan fish curry - with pilau rice and naan. We would recommend each of those dishes and will return to try more! Oh, and the margaritas were lovely too! We are so happy to have Saka Maka in Sydenham.

The most beautiful food I’ve ever had, genuinely speaking. I could not recommend the chicken kebab and the fried prawn starter enough!! Paired with some basmati rice and lamb curry, I was very impressed with the taste, quantity and succulent texture of the meats. The staff are so kind and friendly, we received our meals very quickly and they provided a lot of information on the dishes.

Leaving a review here as this was where the food came from. I'd been wanting to try Saka Maka for some time, since they opened up a place near me in Sydenham. So i ordered one night via Uber Eats, but was surprised to see it came from Hither Green, which is much further away from me compared to Sydenham. As a consequence, it took ages to arrive and the food was quite cold, but i understood this as its far away and the driver was pleasant. The food was good. I had a lamb dish and there was plenty of tasty meat in there. A starter of chilli chicken was nice but very small. No free popadoms was
