Once again, an absolute joy to dine here. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, particularly for the Confit duck leg and the pork belly. The service is sublime and friendly, everything you would want and more from a restaurant. Fair pricing, fantastic quality ingredients, super service and beautiful traditional building. If I could rate it higher, I honestly would. Every bite was a delight.

As a single woman travelling for business I try to look for independent restaurants. My dinner at Bistro 1709 was absolutely AMAZING!! The ambience is very rustic and unassuming. Excellent 3 course dinner last night; highlights were John Dory and Pork mains plus cheese board. Service pleasant and attentive, recommend booking as not huge; we look forward to returning to try some of the other delights on the menu. A gem in a town that has many options to choose.
