The room arranged by the hotel was very spacious and faced the Water Tower side. It had plenty of natural light, a great view, and was also very quiet. The hotel is in an excellent location, right next to Newport Arch. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with generous portions and great taste. Overall, this was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in a perfect location. Highly recommended!

Perfect place to eat on a Sunday. I was fortunate enough to have their last Surf and Turf - a delicious rump steak served with king prawns, mushrooms, onion rings and the best fries I have had in a long time. Friendly and efficient staff, serving delicious food in a cozy environment.

Visited the restaurant tonight. We booked a table weeks ago for four people. 6.15. The place was absolutely heaving and we were shown a table right opposite the main door which not only would have been in a draft but near the busy noisy bar. I declined the table and we were given another table at the back of the restaurant opposite the back door perched on really high stools very tightly squeezed behind another table. I have always rated this place highly and recommended to friends., unfortunately tonight was really very dissapointed. We all ordered the steak pie which I must say came pret

We just popped in for food & drinks. Breakfast was top notch as was an evening meal had here. Dog friendly too. The bar area best place to sit as more atmosphere...we felt abit out of it at the rear of the pub near the toilets plus the heating was off & it was cold in that section on our last evening visit.
