This place has very wide selection of pastries, but the quality of them is hit or miss. I had pandan pistachio cheese rice bread, pudding bun, pistachio baklava pastry and egg tart for takeaway. All the custard-based pastries were exceptional. The egg tart was a highlight. The crust had several crisp, delicate layers, and the filling had a clean, natural egg flavour with a soft, silky texture. The pudding bun was also very enjoyable and generously filled with cream. I bought two buns: matcha mochi larva bun, and taro mochi bun (£6.50). They were amazingly delicious. The buns were soft and the flavour was not too sweet. My new favourite bakery in Chinatown. Must try!

BEST PLACE EVER! Matcha mochi bun, the garlic cream buns, the chocolate buns, the and everything else, they’re insanely tasty. Like INSANE! I’ve been to this place at least 10 times, and can’t stop myself from going more. And the prices are soooo reasonable, it’s crazy!! You won’t be able to stop yourself from buying all of it!

Mrs Bakery in Chinatown is really good. I’ve come back several times and it’s always been a great experience. The pastries are fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. Everything I tried had a really nice texture and balanced sweetness, and you can tell the ingredients are good quality. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to come back to try more things on the menu because there’s a lot that looks tempting. The selection is great and everything looks freshly made. The place is simple but welcoming, and the service has always been friendly. Honestly, it easily beats some overprice
