Asked for price of strawberry bakewell. £4.95 so decided not to bother. Friend suggested to me sharing. Fine. One plate one serviette not cut. Later that afternoon my friend checked receipt They had charged £3.29 x 2 for the cake. Oh we did get two forks. Nobody advised price would increase. What a rip off. Won't be going there again. The conversation was betweeny friend and I. But they took it upon themselves to charge extra

Great place for a coffee stop especially compared to other local places; lovely staff that make such an effort to accommodate and the cake choices are good - i can highly recommend the ginger loaf, a big piece that’s surprisingly light and non sickly . We’ve also had the toasted sarnies and the only slight negative is I wish they also did sourdough toasties here then it’d be perfect! But at least there’s always a heated sausage roll or toasted cheese scone & marmite until then 😊. Had the best iced cappuccino on warmer days, very well made here, as they’re never quite right anywhere else.

This is a delightful little gem. Very simple limited selection which makes it ideal for a simple snack and drink. The toasted sandwiches are great and a really good selection of cakes. Huge portions and the mint flavoured Rocky Road was superb and the Flapjack was the best I have ever had. It was huge so took part of it home and had it with a cuppa. Whole nuts, loafs of fruit. Fantastic. Who ever makes their cakes is very very good. But what really makes it special are the staff. They are outstanding. Friendly, helpful, full of fun and vitality. Really lovely girls. Could not do enough.
