The Clarendon Hotel is in a wonderful location right opposite the Promenade and Beach and great views over to the hills of Cumbria. We had a sea view room which had big windows so was lovely. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We were able to bring our dog which was made welcome too. The service was excellent and the staff friendly. The included continental breakfast was really excellent and included a wide variety inc cereals, pastries, toast, fruit, yogurts, ham and cheese and even flapjacks. Lovely stay in Morecambe. I was only passing through so just needed the basics. The hotel delivered. Lovely staff, adequate room for my needs, really great breakfast (thank you chef) which was well worth the £5 or so. It was better than the £14 breakfast I had at another hotel a day later! The stay was in my opinion good value for money. It may not be suitable for a week, but for a passing through it delivered what I needed. And nice to stroll along the promenade and vista a couple of lively pubs with live music in the town. I would return!

Stayed for 2 nights on May 22 2026 Myself and partner and our mini schnauzer. We were welcomed warmly and check in was easy. Our room was at the back quite large and well equipped, tea and coffee supplied, there was also a heater ,fan and ironing facilities as well as a tv. We opted for the full English breakfast and at £5.50 was an absolute bargain. The restaurant staff were lovely and they even gave our dog her very own sausage both mornings. Parking was free. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Perfectly situated right on the sea front across from the promenade. The hotel is dog friendly and has it's own car park on site. The hotel is clean and the room we stayed in (room 3) was beautifully presented as a family room. It had a large king-sized bed and a large single bed. The room was spotless as was the white bedding. The room was a good size, with a large desk, with Tea/Coffee making facilities including tea/coffee/milk/sugar/sweetener etc and 4 large cups etc. A hair dryer was in the top draw of the desk.
