🥳 They now take payment by card! Woo-hoo! 🥳 This place is a firm favourite of mine. It's as working class as it comes, and I mean that in a good way. You'll not get any pretentious nonsense here, just good down-to-earth grub. My last visit was, for two of us (April 2026), vegetarian breakfast, a Rita's breakfast, two mugs of tea, for £15.20. Can't argue with that. Paid by card too! 😊

Enjoyed a breakfast with my girlfriend, we got a table straight away fortunately as it was busy. They do have a card machine thankfully. We were asked before leaving if everything was ok.

Rude, sullen staff. I only asked if they take card and they rolled their eyes and said "cash only". So I went to the cash machine and got money and ordered a breakfast. Sub standard to be fair, too greasy and sausages had an odd taste to them. Despite asking for cash only they have a GofundMe asking for people's money via the use of a debit card. This place will be out of business if they don't get with the times. Invest in a card machine, put prices up by about 5% and they'll be fine. Asking for cash all the time screams tax avoidance, zero hour contracts,cash in hand.
