We always enjoy breakfast at The Vanilla — the sourdough bread is lovely, and the fresh salad, sausages, and perfectly runny eggs are consistently great. The service is always excellent, without a doubt. We ordered the chocolate tart for a birthday party, and it was creamy, rich, and beautifully chocolatey. And the cheesecake? Truly the best! If you haven’t tried it yet, you definitely should — it’s super good.

First time vistor to this delightful little cafe in highgate. Popped in for a late breakfast and was met with a warm smile and welcome by the two ladies at the counter. Ordered scrambled eggs and this arrived within 10 minutes of ordering along with a first rate cup of coffee. Beautifully made eggs and lovely fresh sourdough toast which went down a treat. Counters lined with homemade cakes and bread which looked superb and could easily have brought one of everything. During my short visit to London, I discovered the perfect little spot in Highgate — Vanilla Cafe! A cosy and welcoming place with a fantastic breakfast menu, offering everything from perfectly poached eggs to fried or scrambled, all cooked just right. The Big Fry Up was absolutely delicious and generous in portion. A huge bonus was the air conditioning, which made all the difference in the hot weather. Definitely a place I’d happily return to!
