It was by chance that I came across the Hatchet Inn, I did not know Wetherspoons did accommodation, I work away a lot, and stay at the usual places. The food is okay for what I paid for it, with a pint; there is a good selection, and delivered quickly. The rooms are clean and cosy. I loved the large outdoor garden. The staff are friendly and efficient. It is nice to have a pub atmosphere, I don't feel as lonely while been away from home. £50 Friday night. Lovely quilt and pillows. No usb plugs so if you want to charge all Ur gizmos bring a plug 🔌 plug . Not a problem just a bit of advice. MASSIVE shower. Breakfast from 7am. Giant beer garden. Pay carpark 10ft behind the place 🙂

Ordered food/drink on the app and was a bit chaotic. Staff delivering items shouting out "anyone ordered 2 cokes?" Instead of looking for the table number that had ordered them. 3 of us served in 15mins. One still waiting nearly 40 minutes later. Kitchen had obviously lost the order as after a verbal chase up the food appeared. Definitely not as organised as other Wetherspoons we've been to.

Just stopped here for an after-show drink having seen Danny Bhoy at the Corn Exchange. It's a lovely and convenient location, and at 9:30 pm on a summer evening, enjoyed sitting out the front in the picturesque town square.
