Authentic Sri Lankan Gem in Watford! To all my Tamil friends and locals in and around Watford: You have to check out Kottu King! It’s rare to find a restaurant this spacious that still delivers that genuine, "home-cooked" Sri Lankan taste. We went for a family lunch and the service was excellent. While their Kottu is definitely the star of the show, the entire menu feels incredibly authentic. The Chicken Fried Rice and Mutton Fry were on another level—perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. Great spot for large groups. Highly recommended!

Very dissatisfied about the bulk order we made for our family and friends gathering took place on 27th of June 2026 Saturday . We ordered nearly £80 worth food items (chicken samosa, chicken rolls, vegetables rolls, mutton rolls and parathas) The food was tasteless and almost everybody had diarrhoea. We paid so much for the food from Kottu King and no body ate the food, therefore, we had to bin the food. Moreover we were embarrassed by the guests. So please be more aware of the food quality before giving it to the customers. Specially when preparing to giving bulk orders don’t give rubbish for

I have lived in North Watford for 5 years and regularly support local restaurants. Unfortunately, I have visited this restaurant several times since it opened, and every visit has been disappointing. Today, I sent my 16-year-old son to buy 6 pieces of Thothol. She was charged £1.20 per piece, even though my wife bought the same product for £1 each just last week. The prices do not appear to be clearly displayed, which is misleading. Customers should always check the price before buying. This is not the first issue I have had here. The service was good, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. It was overpriced for what we received, and much of it arrived cold. The fried prawns were cold, very dry, and had a hard, woody texture, which made them unpleasant to eat. The restaurant itself was also uncomfortably cold, which didn’t help the overall experience. Overall, it was poor value for money.
