I ordered the chicken and mushroom pie with chips and it was absolutely delicious. The pie was packed with tender chicken and a rich, creamy mushroom sauce, wrapped in perfectly cooked pastry. The chips were fresh, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, exactly how proper chip shop chips should be. Everything tasted freshly made, full of flavour, and the portions were very very generous. What really made the experience even better were the owners, Iulia and her husband. I recently stumbled across Nick’s Plaice and honestly, what a little gem! Popped in for fish & chips and while I was waiting they gave me a homemade fish cake to try — absolutely delicious! The staff were super friendly and hilarious, we had such a good laugh while I was there. Thanks guys for making my day — see you every Thursday 😊 PS: What really surprised me was the little fresh flowers on every table. It might be a takeaway/fish & chips place, but those small touches make it feel so cosy and welcoming — almost like home
