We frequent BEAR a lot and the last time I left a Google review was 2 years ago so I deleted it and created a new one... it's much of the same though! The food is delicious every time we come and there is always a lot of variety and good vegetarian options. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. And the atmosphere is quiet with nice views overlooking the river. Last weekend, we went because I'd gotten an email about the Christmas menu and I was keen to try the fondue for 2 with my partner, and it was fantastic. Normally, I'd recommend either the Full House Breakfast or the Chilli Chee

We had a lovely breakfast here after Northwich parkrun. The menu is varied. All the food was good. The staff in particular were fabulous (thank you especially to Charlotte). Friendly and really helpful. I was on a tight timeline and Charlotte made it happen 😊. Thank you. Hopefully see you again sometime (with less rushing next time!).

Serene Gem with Spectacular Views and Divine Bakes! Had a wonderful lunch here with a friend who lives nearby. Cafe BEAR is a true find! The front view on to the water is spectacular and perfectly serene, making the window seats (understandably) the most popular in the house. Practicality meets pleasure here: there’s ample free parking at Matalan, just a short and pleasant walk away. My friend had told me their baked goods are legendary, and she was right. The coffee is always delicious , but this time we decided to try the food , it wasn’t a long wait maybe 10 mins to get the chicken and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup The pancakes were fine , the bacon needed doing longer and wasn’t crispy enough but the chicken was dry and overcooked to the point it was hard and really unpleasant. No one asked if our food was OK because you pay upfront. I would visit for coffee again but not for food , disappointing.
