We popped in for the opening pints of our Rail Ale Trail. Good selection of beers, not ridiculously expensive (though still a lotmore than 'Spoons), plenty of space, decent toilets. Carvery smelled great but it was a bit early in the day for eating. Special mention for Maya, who's forthright, no-nonsense attitude and sarcastic flirting would be fitting of an old school barmaid who's been pulling pints all her life, except Maya is 18 and it was her 4th day in the job! Keep it up and you'll go far 🤣

A nice carvery and will visit again, I was in the area and went on a Sunday and it was not busy, there were plenty of seating and lots of choice of vegetables on the carvery deck.

My starter of chorizo and prawns was burnt. My main meals for 2 were nothing short of very low standard of cooking. The chicken gravy taste of cornflour, Now when used has a thickner it needs to be cooked out. The 3 sausage with black pudding in them got lost in 2 sausages, so 1 had just 2 pork and 1 pork with black pudding. Now, down to the other meal I ordered for my partner, the Wexford chicken, if it has to die for my eating enjoyment, then please cook it right. It was dry bland and tasteless. I felt really relaxed in the pub. We had two drinks and food and top quality. The waitress is really lovely and friendly. Would come again. I noticed it changed a lot since we came 4 years ago. To be honest I recommend it.
