Having lived in the village for almost 4 years I confess I’d been put off previously from venturing “down to the Red Lion” as when I moved here I was told it wasn’t the best, so instead had opened to visit its namesake “up the road” what a mistake and one that won’t be repeated moving forward. Tonight’s visit couldn’t have been any better, the staff were amazing from the moment we entered to the moment we left, brilliant atmosphere and well the food was delicious, it’s what I’d say typical “pub food” should be; I’ll be the first to admit I’m a fine dining person but having eaten here I’ll be

SO much better under the new management. Food portion sizes are massive and very tasty. My only complaint would be that the music could be a tad quieter and I’m not sure about the disco lights being on during a quiet lunchtime, but otherwise it’s great.
