My guest and myself went to Sandbanks Mark Bennetts around 1.30 pm today. Ordered the Italian sandwich and a pasty with a salad on the side for each plua Coffees. We usually go to Ashley Cross . We were so disappointed. The sandwich was soggy on the bottom. The pasty was cold on the inside and the pastry soggy. Seemed as if placed on a plate of water. They had been heated in the microwave not as at Ashley Cross in the oven blaster (not sure what it is called but it comes out delicious like out of a oven or toaster grill). Hi, I visited your Lilliput shop earlier in week and purchased a large multiseeded cob. As my wife is in remission from diabetes we always check the ingredients of food that we purchase-so I asked your staff about the ingredients for the multiseeded cob and out of 4 staff not one could tell me - except one staff member said there was no added sugar! Considering this loaf sells at £4.70 , which is quite expensive for a loaf of bread, I am disappointed that your staff are not fully up to speed on your products. Popped in 5mins before closing just to see if they had anything left to buy.. Girl behind the counter abruptly stated we are closed and basically hinted to get out... nice food.. bitter service.. Just makes you not want to go back.. shame. As the over priced food requires hospitality to return.
