The staff were very lovely and welcoming. The mash was really nice, and the pie wasn’t too bad either. Unfortunately, the liquor spoiled the whole meal for me as it just wasn’t very nice. It was extremely dark green, whereas it should usually be a much paler green. I understand that people do get unwell, but when working in a food environment, it’s not ideal to come in if you’re ill. Although the staff member serving us was friendly and chatty, she was coughing into her hands throughout, which did make me feel quite uncomfortable. There simply needs to be more of these places making headlines in the London area. Just simple, delicious, food served by friendly people. You can’t ask for anything more and sure, it’s not the most amazing pie and mash that I have ever had, but the atmosphere and history of the place speaks for itself and the price is right on. I would happily recommend M.Manze to anyone wishing to have an authentic and real experience with great British scran.

Great pie & mash. Big chunks of meat lot of gravy. Just how you want it. Had to queue for 30 minutes as they ran out of pies and had to bake some more. The classic combination is double pie single mash, more may be go large and Triple pie and double mash

Manze's is still good. I've been going here with my dad for years and that won't change. The Pie n mash is amazing, mash is nice and smooth and the pie is just as great and for a great value for money. I'll always love the old school feel with the place. I can not recommend the place enough.
