The ladies running the Cafe where delightful, warm and inviting. Service with a smile. The food was exemplary. The meat pie was full of chicken and the scone was to die for. We are definitely going back for a full on meal before we leave the Pontefract area.

It would have been nice to get some thing to eat,but didn't realise that they shut everything down before 3pm. We got there at 2.46pm. To be told that the appliances had been turned off, we could have a coffee and a sandwich . That was fine, but we would have liked something hot and tasty.

Some excellent services available and some that need customer service training.🤔📱 Dean the Butcher is excellent and I would highly recommend. Also the Deli counter with the cheese display as you walk in from the High street does the best pork pies I have ever tried, Really! Just try them. The Cafe also does a nice breakfast with great customer service. There is also a printing shop, carpets, key cutter, sewing shop, a bakery and fancy dress.

Lovely market hall needs more shops adding as some units are empty but it is nice to see that there are a few established units that have stayed and are doing well would like to see more people visit the market as it has a lot of history within it
