Really nice pub. Seems to improved this last few years / months. Great service, nice pub food, nice decoration, board games, quiet corner for dinners or smaller snack menu in main bar. Heated , covered outdoor veranda. Huge carpark . A live singer or band might be a nice touch for NYE or Christmas parties etc A few more veggie options too, veggie sausage and mash? Mushroom pie? Fake fish n chips ? However I did enjoy my two starters as a main, my husband loved his cheese and onion pie! I've had the veggie chilli and the veggie curry before, both are also very good! Love it here. The mix grill is to die for. Omg the sausages are amazing. The staff are fantastic especially Walter he's an amazing guy who looks after us and takes time to have a good chat. Been coming here since 1992 when they used to have the Hungry man meal. 32oz of pure meat and if you finished it you got your picture on the wall and a free pudding. This place brings back happy memories for me with family meals and great surroundings. Thank you to all staff see you neslxt week. The walmsleys from frenchwood.
