We stop at The Stray whenever we go for a run along the seafront. It's always busy, but the staff are welcoming and there's a good choice of drinks and hot and cold food. The sausage butties come with plenty of sausage and if, like me, you struggle to open sachets of ketchup, you can just use the good old sauce bottle instead. Yesterday I ordered 2 butties, 4 coffees and a cheese scone. The bill was a very reasonable £20. I highly recommend the coffee, I like it strong and ordered an Americano with an extra shot - perfect. Went for a Lemon Top and the staff were very friendly and accommodating to my whim. I'd just bought a campervan and named her Skully Lemon Top and they made me a yummy one 😋 loved the lemon sorbet. After eating my Lemon Top I asked if they could do one in a tub to take back to me mam in the campervan. I ended up buying 3. They put the ice-cream and lemon sorbet into separate tubs then put them in a plastic tub so I could transport them in a cool box in the campervan. We drove 8 minutes from Saltburn to try Stray Cafe. First thoughts are it wouldn't look out of place on one of those long stretches of roads US/Australia has. We had breakfast here and I was gutted because I didn't feel well and had no taste but when I saw a breakfast burger with sausage and bacon i had to try it. It looked great but unfortunately I couldn't taste it, oddly I forced it down though haha. Definitely looking forward to going back when I'm better to try it again. Got a good selection of lasagne, carrot cake, chicken bacon sandwich and the biggest one that stuck out for me was a Home made looking cornflake cake you'd get in school; it didn't disappoint! Really great hot chocolates here and the staff here are brilliant! Would always return
