visited the Costa Coffee branch in Richmond recently, and the experience was quite disappointing. While we were still enjoying our coffee, a staff member came over four times to remind us that the store was closing in 15 minutes. We completely understand that staff need to close on time, but being told repeatedly made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. It would be nice if customers could finish their drinks in peace, especially when there’s still time before closing

The staff are brilliant and the coffee and food always good. However, the freeloaders use the place shamelessly. They saunter in with their lunches bought from another establishment and sit there eating away without any purchase from Costa. Back and forth to the facilities and blocking tables that paying customers are subsidising. I use the place frequently and this is becoming ever more common. Time for the management to wake up and put a stop to the grifting taking place under their noses.
