We had a lovely Father's Day here last weekend! The service was 10/10 – we were served by Georgia (I believe that was her name), who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. My young baby absolutely loved her too, which made the experience even more special. The food was nice overall, although I do have a few small points. The roast could have done with a larger portion of vegetables, and the potatoes weren't as crispy as I'd hoped. If I'm being picky, I don't think the beef was quite worth the price and feel it should be a little more reasonably priced. We also paid extra for the cauliflower, b

My daughter and I visited The White Bear Restaurant on the 22nd and 23rd May 2026 and had a very enjoyable experience on both occasions. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere with tasteful décor and a warm, welcoming ambience throughout. The chilled soul music created a relaxed vibe and had us both tapping our feet whilst enjoying our cocktails. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive, which added to the overall experience. The food was very well cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Recommended by a local so went to try it. Hummus was delicious and a very decent portion a little confusing as it was listed as a main with the Samphire, onion & cauliflower Bhaji as the starter either way both very nice. Also shared the plant burger which could have done with a salad garnish but was very delicious. The service was top notch and there was plenty of people enjoying lunch so for a rainy weekday lunch nice and cheery!! Would definitely revisit.
