I was incredibly disappointed with my recent meal here, as the food was nowhere near the standard you would expect for a dining establishment. The main issue was the potatoes, which were clearly sprouting eyes. When I brought this to the attention of our waitress, she tried to convince us that sprouting happens "because they are fresh potatoes." Fact check: Any gardener, chef, or anyone who has ever owned a pantry knows that sprouting means potatoes are old, poorly stored, and starting to turn. It is absolutely not a sign of freshness. Was visiting the area for a mini break with a friend. Not been to a Zizzi in years. The service was brilliant (Teo) was our waitress and the food was delicious. I had a beautiful merlot too.
