We have dined here frequently for 8 years now and every time the food has always been high quality, accompanied by a nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. However, on our last few visits the pub simply has not been up to scratch and it is no longer easy to enjoy a meal here. Whilst the food and drink quality is unchanged, today and on our last couple of visits we have not had a warm meal, which is very disappointing. We had our reception at Holland Hall and I can honestly say it was the best decision we made! The staff are exceptional, you should be very proud! Massive thanks to Joanne, Tracey and Bevin making sure our day was perfect! I don't know what I would of done without them! Very poor after service, no checks in during meal to check everything was ok. Food was lukewarm and seasonal vegetables consisted of a small roasted carrot, floret of cauliflower and a small piece of parsnip. The after service from the supervisor was very poor when we raised our concerns making a comment well you have eaten it. When I explained no one had checked in with us she said you could just grab one of us, unsure how when they are not around the room as busy going backwards and forwards to the kitchen. Disappointing and unacceptable front-of-house conduct My wife and I had a table booked today at 14:45. This is the first time in over seven years of reviewing restaurants, hotels and venues that we have ever felt compelled to leave a venue before even ordering a drink. Upon arrival we were greeted by a female staff member with red hair and glasses and shown to a central table in the dining room.
