Mike’s was recommended to me on The Chippy Tour as a firm local favourite, and sure enough, when I arrived, there were plenty of vehicles and people queuing, moving along at a good pace. The staff were busy yet full of life and all smiles. The shop was clean, tidy, and well-presented. The cod I was served was incredibly thick, coated in a tasty batter that was slightly doughy in places. The fish itself was fresh and delicious, with plenty of it on the plate. The chop suey roll was fairly standard but cooked perfectly. The mushy peas were bright green, lightly seasoned, and a nice consistency,
