Just nipped in last minute after work for a couple of kebab burgers. They were getting ready to close shortly. 3 young ladies behind the counter who served and prepped my food were very polite and well mannered and the food was lovely. My friend has just purchased 2 mini fish & chips £17. It was absolutely disgusting! The small portion of fish was dry and chewy and the chips were certainly not fresh. Most of it ended up in the bin. We will not be using this fish shop again.

I visited Dove House Fish Bar and the food was really tasty and freshly cooked. There was no queue, which was great and made the service quick and easy. The only downsides were that there was nowhere to eat in, and it was rather expensive for a takeaway. Overall though, the quality of the food was very good and I’d still recommend it.

Good consistency of chips and portion sizes are decent. £2.40 for a portion, a bit on the steeper than others. The fish is on the small side compared to other chippies I use. I haven’t had a bad portion of chips. Handy tip, always ask to wrap your fish separately. And put salt and vinegar on them at home.
