Today we went for lunch and ordered lamb Shinwari karahi along with chapli kebab. However, the dish served as “karahi” seemed like some old leftover curry. It didn’t look like a karahi at all neither in appearance nor in taste. It was just a basic onion-tomato gravy, and it didn’t seem fresh at all. As you can see in the photo, the bones didn’t have fresh meat on them the meat looked like it had already been stripped off. Fresh meat doesn’t look like that and there was absolutely no taste. I’ve tried the Butt Karahi in Birmingham, which was really good. Thought myself and family would try the Butt Karahi in Southall, London. The restaurant has been designed really nice, however this didn’t really match well with the service as the food took quite long. The Meat Karahi was near enough bones and so was the chicken. Left quite disappointed but again can’t complain much about the mix grill as that tasted nice.
